How it works

  1. Discover proportionately

    For internal or expert users, a few shadowing sessions beat a hundred survey questions; for high-volume consumer flows, analytics pairs with targeted usability review. No research theater when the problem is obviously a broken form field.

  2. Structure the flows

    Journey maps and states come before high-fidelity decoration. Engineers get every state, empty, loading, success, failure, permission denied, not a PNG that only looked nice in Figma.

  3. Build the system

    Tokens, components, type, and spacing are defined against the real component library, with short feedback loops that keep a PM and tech lead in the room and cut design-to-dev ping-pong.

  4. Verify before handoff

    Keyboard navigation is tested and designs are verified against WCAG 2.1 AA before handoff. Baseline metrics, task completion, time-on-task, or conversion, are set before shipping so quality is measurable, not subjective.

Figma is typical, but the handoff matters more than the tool. If a partner team uses something else, the work adapts as long as exports and specs stay honest.
